Music: Turntables on the Hudson at La Marina


La Marina presents Turn Tables on the Hudson today, Saturday September 7th, 3pm – 1am. Turntables on the Hudson is an all day beach party where an eclectic group of DJs spin and mix sounds from around the world. Bachata Concerts: Toby Love, Andy Andy and Bachata Heightz Perform at Highbridge Park

If you’re a Bachata aficionado, Highbridge Park has a must-see line up this week that features Toby Love, Andy Andy and Bachata Heightz. Highbridge is located 2301 Amsterdam Avenue in Washington Heights.


Toby Love, known as one of the pioneers of modern bachata, will be performing Casi Casi off his latest album, La Voz de la Juventud (Voice of the Young) on Tuesday, August 13, 7pm – 9pm. For more information, click ish.


Dominican singer Andy Andy has emerged as one of a handful of musicians on the cutting edge of the Bachata craze, beginning with his debut album, Aqui Conmigo. Performance will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 7pm – 9pm. For more information, click ish.


Born and raised in Washington Heights, Jerry Garcia, Jonathan Garcia, Jeffrey Cruz, Aneudy Hernandez and Diego Capellan formed Bachata Heightz to explore their musical interests while staying off the streets. The group was inspired by the tropical music of their Dominican roots as well as Hip-Hop and R&B.  Combining these varying sounds, Bachata Heightz highlights their Latin heritage yet incorporates modern beats.
