Celebrate Brooklyn! presents Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal at Prospect Park Bandshell. Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal is a hybrid company that whimsically infuses classical ballet with a host of interloping modern styles in a three-part program. Movie: Humphrey Bogart’s African Queen at Bryant Park (Free)

Monday, July 22, HBO Bryant Park Film Festival presents African Queen starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn, directed by John Huston. Bogart won his first and only Oscar as a hard drinking riverboat captain alongside prim missionary Katharine Hepburn. The lawn opens at 5pm, but the movie starts at sunset, usually between 8pm – 9pm. Free.

The New Museum of Contemporary Art will be hosting their annual Block Party on Saturday, July 20, 2013, 12pm – 5pm. The kid friendly event will take place inside of Sara D. Roosevelt Park, located on Chrystie Street between Delancey and Broome Street. The day will consist of workshops, interactive art and an art exhibition. Free.
