Concierto de Los Enamorados – Enrique Iglesias & Friends


The King of Latin Pop, Enrique Iglesias, will be performing at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, February 15, 8pm. Tickets for the Lovers’ Concert are on sale now and are expected to sell out.

Enrique Iglesias is a Spanish-American singer, songwriter, actor and record producer. Iglesias started his career in the mid-1990s and soon became one of the biggest stars in Latin America and the Hispanic Market. Iglesias has sold over 100 million units worldwide, making him one of the best selling Spanish language artists of all time.

8th Annual Latin American Culture Week (LACW)


The 8th Annual Latin American Cultural Week will take place November 14 – 25, 2013. Latin American Culture Week facilitates performances by many institutions and artists throughout New York City. Presentations consist of music, dance, film, theater, literature, visual and performing arts influenced by the diverse cultures of Latin America. Participants: American Symphony Orchestra, the World Music Institute, Sotheby’s, Christie’s, Instituto Cervantes, Americas Society, Brazilian Endowment for the Arts, Centro Civico Cultural Dominicano, and Repertorio Español.

La Marina presents Turn Tables on the Hudson today, Saturday September 7th, 3pm – 1am. Turntables on the Hudson is an all day beach party where an eclectic group of DJs spin and mix sounds from around the world. Concert: Rubén Blades at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park (Free)


On Wednesday, August 7, Lincoln Center presents Ruben Blades, a Panamanian salsa singer, songwriter, actor, activist and Latin jazz musician, who is popularly known for his hit single: Pedro Navaja. Show starts at 7:30pm. West 62nd Street between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues.

Blades holds a Licenciado en Derecho law degree from the University of Panama and an LL.M in international law from Harvard University, and ran for Panamanian President in 1994.

Dance: Tango at the Maritime District (Free)


Here’s another tango event for the aficionados. Dance the evening away with Hector Del Curto on Sunday, August 4. Join Hector as he offers lessons at no cost, then stay the night and enjoy the sounds of the live band. Lessons start at 6:30pm and the band comes on at 7pm. At the Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturdays, thousands of visitors enjoy free programs of art and entertainment each month, from 5 to 11 p.m. All evening long, the Museum café serves a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and beverages, and a cash bar offers wine and beer. This coming Saturday, August 3, the museum is showcasing Caribbean-themed music, curatorial talks, film and art. The Brooklyn Museum is located at 200 Eastern Parkway.
