The unidentifiable, London-based, Oscar-nominee (Exit Through the Gift Shop) street artist, Banksy, has established residency in NYC and has turned the city into a street art pop-up exhibition. To date, he has showcased art sales in Central Park, a moving truck with stuffed animals in LES and converted a delivery truck into a mobile garden that includes a rainbow, waterfall & butterflies (last spotted in Williamsburg, BK). The show is said to run through October 31st. Catch him if you can. (And if you do, please share with the ishtodo team at info@ishtodo.com.)

Sheep 15US-ART-SHEEP SCULPTURES

If you’re looking to see it all, be sure to pass by the old Getty gas station on 24th Street and 10th Avenue and catch Sheep Station. The exhibition features the work of the surrealist sculptor Francois-Xavier Lalanne, who died in 2008, and will run through October 20.

The show was conceived by Paul Kasmin, an art dealer who represents the Lalanne estate, and Michael Shvo, a real estate developer and collector. Mr. Shvo’s company purchased the Getty station and will turn it into luxury residences. The developers plan to present public art during the project’s construction and will eventually incorporate similar projects into the building. – NYT
