The Chinese New Year — The Lunar Year — starts tomorrow, Friday, January 31. 500,000 firecrackers will be lit in the Lower East Side’s Sara D. Roosevelt Park on January 31, 11pm. If you can’t make the firework show, there’s always the Annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade Festival on Sunday, February 2, 1pm.

On February 2, 2014, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will host Super Bowl XLVIII. To celebrate, New York City, the Super Bowl Host Committee assembled “Super Bowl Boulevard,” a series of football-themed experiences that will take over Times Square.
