Rooftop Film Presents: The Central Park Five

The riveting documentary is about 5 teenage boys — 4 black, 1 Latino — who were wrongly convicted of assaulting and raping a Central Park Jogger in 1989. The convictions were vacated in 2002 when Matias Reyes, a convicted rapist and murderer serving a life sentence for other crimes, confessed to committing the crime alone and DNA evidence confirmed his involvement in the rape. Tuesday, June 18, at the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, Midtown East, 2nd Avenue East 47th Street. Free.
