The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is a world-wide symbol of the holidays in New York City. This year, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will be lit for the first time on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, 7pm – 9pm. The Tree will remain lit and can be viewed until 11pm on January 7th, 2014.
The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater family returns to New York City. Performances will take place at The Joan Weill Center, located at 405 West 55th Street (9th Avenue). December 4 – January 5. Tickets start at $25.
The American Dance Theater grew from a now-fabled performance in March 1958 at the 92nd Street Y in New York City. Led by Alvin Ailey and a group of young African-American modern dancers, that performance changed forever the perception of American dance.

After playing to sold out Joyce houses for the last two years, the Bessie Award-winning dancer and her astounding company, Noche Flamenca, perform another searing show that combines live music with song and dance to captivate audiences once more with the essence of flamenco revealed in its most authentic and glorious form. The Joyce Theater is located on 175 W. 8th Avenue. December 3 – 15.
