Fruitvale Station — winner of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award — is an independent film written and directed by Ryan Coogler. It’s based on the true story of Oscar Grant, a young man who was killed by a BART police officer in Oakland, CA. Starring Michael B. Jordan, popularly known for his role as Wallace on The Wire.
