Dance: Africa and Brazil Summer Jam Night

Beleza NYC is an eclectic event planning group which aims to open people to diverse communities by presenting infectious world music, art and culture in venues all over New York City. On Saturday, June 22, Africa and Brazil come together at Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleeker Street, a Summer Jam night full of Brazilian energy, African culture and worldly entertainment. Art: 100 Years of Flamenco at Lincoln Center

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center (Astor Gallery) and Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana are pleased to present 100 Years of Flamenco in NYC. The multimedia exhibit features costumes, castanets, engravings and photographs, as well as screenings of rare documentary films, seminars, lectures and performances. Currently in display, running through August 3, 2013. Free.
